# Provide liquidity Understand LP shares, value risk, and the separate withdrawal request and claim steps. Providing liquidity deposits funds from your connected owner wallet into a pool and gives you **LP shares**. This pool is separate from your personal Smart Vault and its play balance. Your shares represent a position in the pool. Their value can rise or fall with pool activity and game results. Fees are not a guaranteed return, and your displayed position value is not a promise of what you can withdraw. ## Deposit into a pool 1. Connect the owner wallet you want to use and open **Liquidity**. 2. Check the pool's network and asset, then enter an amount within your wallet balance. 3. If asked, approve the pool to use the requested token amount. Approval alone does not deposit those tokens or create LP shares. 4. Review and confirm the deposit. Wait for the transaction result before treating your position as updated. ## Request a withdrawal 1. Open **Withdraw** and enter the number of LP shares to redeem. Shares and token amounts are different units; review the estimated asset amount. 2. Review and confirm **Request withdrawal**. 3. Wait for confirmation, then find the request under **Pending withdrawals** and check its unlock time. A confirmed request burns the selected shares and records a delayed redemption. It does not send the assets to your wallet. The request-time amount is a maximum: the eventual claim can be lower if the pool loses value. ## Claim after the waiting period Once the contract's waiting period ends, use **Claim** for the eligible request and approve that transaction. A claim can still be unavailable if pool liquidity or other contract checks prevent it. Wait for the confirmed result and check your receiving wallet. Do not treat an unlocked request, an enabled Claim button, or an estimated amount as a completed payment. The pending list may take time to reflect a confirmed claim. ## If an action is unresolved Use the existing transaction's status check before starting another liquidity action. If your wallet replaced it, provide only the replacement hash that belongs to that attempt. A missing hash or interrupted confirmation does not prove nothing was sent. A confirmed revert or different replacement is not a completed deposit, redemption request, or claim. Review the current position after the result is known. For an unknown outcome, keep the attempt details and use [pending-action help](/troubleshooting/pending-actions/). ## Read pool charts and records Check the asset, share units, time period, and coverage note. Pool value, your position value, ownership percentage, and deposits or withdrawals answer different questions. None is a complete personal profit calculation. History may be unavailable or cover only part of a period. Missing observations are not zero values, and current figures can refresh independently. **Sample** data illustrates the interface and is not a live pool record. See [balances and activity](/funds/balances-and-activity/) for chart and record limits. ## Related - [Funds](/funds/) - [Balances and activity](/funds/balances-and-activity/) - [Pending actions](/troubleshooting/pending-actions/)
