# Sign in

Choose a sign-in method and check the wallet connected to your account.

Sign in when a game or account action asks you to connect. The sign-in dialog offers a browser wallet or WalletConnect, and an email or social sign-in path. Choose the method that belongs to the wallet you intend to use on Chain.

1. Select **Log in** or the sign-in action shown by the game.
2. Choose your wallet, or select **Log in with email or socials** and follow the prompts. Email sign-in sends a verification code to the address you enter.
3. Complete the wallet connection or code verification. When the dialog closes, check the connected wallet before creating a Smart Vault or moving funds.

Signing in gives the site a connected account; it does not by itself create a Smart Vault or fund it. Continue with [wallet setup](/account/create-your-wallet/) if the account page says you do not have one.

If the wallet does not connect, try the dialog again and complete any prompt from your wallet provider. If you used a different sign-in method or account, reconnect the one associated with your Smart Vault before taking another action. For a persistent error, [contact support](https://chain.wtf/contact) with the message shown on screen; never include a password, verification code, or private key.
