# Cases Compare case probabilities, multipliers, and total returns across multiple openings. ## What you are playing Choose a case and open it for a randomly selected payout multiplier. Items have different weights; equal-sized cards in a reveal strip do not mean equal chances. ## How to play 1. Choose Consumer, Industrial, Classified, or Covert and inspect its item probabilities. 2. Choose 1–5 openings. 3. Set the stake per case and check the total wager. 4. Open the cases and add all returned amounts. ## Rules and payouts 1. **Weighted outcomes:** each item has its own probability. The number of pictures in the reveal strip does not tell you those odds. 2. **Total cost:** stake per case × number of openings. Each opening settles separately. 3. **Return:** an opening can pay 0×, 0.5×, 1×, or a larger multiplier. A 0.5× return loses half the stake; 1× breaks even. 4. **Table expectation:** each case has a designed 99% return before payout rounding, with a different mix of frequent and rare outcomes. | Case | Highest gross multiplier | |---|---| | Consumer | 10× | | Industrial | 25× | | Classified | 60× | | Covert | 150× | > **What you receive:** the game pays a currency amount. The case artwork does not promise a tradable item or NFT. ## Worked example 1. **Single opening:** Consumer’s 2× item has a 9% chance. On a 10-unit stake, it returns 20 for **10 profit**. 2. **Three openings:** 10 units per case costs **30 total**. Results of 0×, 0.5×, and 2× return 0 + 5 + 20 = **25**. 3. **Whole-round result:** 25 returned − 30 staked = **5 lost**, despite one profitable opening. *Example amounts use generic currency units; the currency’s precision determines final rounding.* ## Practical tips 1. Compare probabilities as well as the biggest prize. 2. A higher-rarity case does not increase the designed expected return. Repeated openings increase money at risk; the reveal strip’s near misses do not make the next rare item more likely. ## Background The presentation uses a container-opening metaphor for a weighted payout table. ## FAQ and recovery ### Do I receive a tradable object? This game settles currency payouts based on multipliers. The case art does not represent an inventory item or NFT. ### Is 1× a win? It breaks even on that opening. ### Can I stop the strip on an item? No. The reveal strip displays the selected outcome; stopping its animation is not a game action. For any unresolved round, use confirmed game status rather than animation or elapsed time as the result. Current currency, available balance, and wager limits are shown by the game. ## Related - [Game guides](/guides/)
