What you are playing
Section titled “What you are playing”Place chips on the number board, then one of 37 pockets—0 through 36—is selected. Each bet on your slip settles against the same winning number.
How to play
Section titled “How to play”- Choose a chip value and place bets on numbers, groups, or outside categories.
- Review all positions and the total stake.
- Place the slip and wait for the spin result.
- Add the returns from winning positions and compare them with the whole slip’s cost.
Rules and payouts
Section titled “Rules and payouts”Each position on the slip settles against the same winning pocket. These multipliers include returned stake.
| Bet | Numbers covered | Gross multiplier |
|---|---|---|
| Straight number | 1 | 36× |
| Split | 2 | 18× |
| Street | 3 | 12× |
| Corner | 4 | 9× |
| Six-line | 6 | 6× |
| Dozen or column | 12 | 3× |
| Red/black, odd/even, or low/high | 18 | 2× |
The theoretical table return is 36/37, approximately 97.30%, before payout rounding. A slip can have several winning positions, so add their returns and subtract the cost of the entire slip.
Zero matters: it does not win any outside even-money category. A bet on zero must actually cover that pocket.
Worked example
Section titled “Worked example”Stake 1 unit on 7 and 1 on red, costing 2 total.
| Winning pocket | Gross return | Net result |
|---|---|---|
| 7 | 36 + 2 = 38 | +36 |
| Any other red number | 2 | 0 |
| Black or zero | 0 | −2 |
Another red number wins the red bet but only breaks even across the whole slip.
Example amounts use generic currency units; the currency’s precision determines final rounding.
Practical tips
Section titled “Practical tips”- Different coverage changes win frequency and payout size, not the standard expectation of these bets.
- A winning chip does not necessarily mean a profitable slip. Recent reds do not make black due.
