Seal and reveal Rock Paper Scissors choices, including draws and timeout outcomes.
What you are playing
Section titled “What you are playing”Two players stake the same amount, seal a choice, then reveal it. Rock beats Scissors, Scissors beats Paper, and Paper beats Rock. The winner takes the distributable pot after the protocol fee.
How to play
Section titled “How to play”- Create or join a lobby and read the stake and fee.
- Choose Rock, Paper, or Scissors and commit the sealed pick.
- Keep this browser available while the opponent commits. The game attempts to reveal your saved pick automatically when eligible. If that attempt fails, use Reveal before the deadline.
- Watch for confirmation that the reveal was accepted, then read the result or replay prompt.
Rules and payouts
Section titled “Rules and payouts”- Seal, then reveal: both players commit their choices before either choice is revealed. A sealed pick cannot be changed.
- Draw: play again. After six consecutive draws—the first round plus five replays—the remaining pot is split.
- Fee and split: the configured fee applies to a split as well as a decisive result. A split is claimable; use the offered collection action for your share. It is not a full refund.
| Situation after the deadline | Result when the timeout action resolves |
|---|---|
| Still in the commit stage | Split the distributable pot |
| Reveal stage; exactly one player revealed | That player wins the distributable pot |
| Reveal stage; neither player revealed | Split the distributable pot |
Keep your saved pick: stay in the same browser and retain its site data until the match ends. Without the saved secret, the game cannot reveal your committed choice.
Worked example
Section titled “Worked example”Both players stake 10 units. An illustrative 5% fee leaves 19 to distribute.
| Result for you | Gross return | Net result |
|---|---|---|
| Win, such as Rock against Scissors | 19 | +9 |
| Lose | 0 | −10 |
| Equal split after the fee | 9.50 | −0.50 |
Use the actual fee and currency precision shown for the match. A split can return less than your stake.
Example amounts use generic currency units; the currency’s precision determines final rounding.
Practical tips
Section titled “Practical tips”- Predictability can be exploited by an opponent; no fixed repeating sequence guarantees success. Operationally, preserve the browser data holding your sealed pick until the round is done.
- Changing devices or clearing site data can make the committed choice impossible to reveal. A commitment alone is not completion.
Background
Section titled “Background”The cyclic three-choice relation is the game’s defining structure. This version adds sealed commitments and deadlines to support online play with public transaction data.
FAQ and recovery
Section titled “FAQ and recovery”Can I change a sealed pick?
Section titled “Can I change a sealed pick?”No. Once committed, your pick is sealed for that round. Keep its saved secret so you can reveal it.
Does a missing secret always pay the opponent?
Section titled “Does a missing secret always pay the opponent?”No. If the reveal deadline passes and only your opponent revealed, that player receives the distributable pot. If neither player revealed, the distributable pot is split. A commit-stage timeout also splits it. Keep the browser data holding your sealed pick until the match ends.
Can I cancel after seeing I will lose?
Section titled “Can I cancel after seeing I will lose?”No. The opener can cancel while the lobby is still filling, with a full stake refund. Once the match starts, its result or deadline rules apply; a split after play starts can be reduced by the fee and requires collection.
For any unresolved round, use confirmed game status rather than animation or elapsed time as the result. Current currency, available balance, and wager limits are shown by the game.
